Mount Komovi stretches in eastern Montenegro between the rivers Lim, Tara and Drcka and is surrounded by the mountains Prokletije, Planinica and Bjelasica. It features three high, powerful peaks that form the whole of Kom: Kučki Kom 2487; Ljevorečki Kom 2453; Vasojevicki Kom 2460.
Vasojevićki Kom can be approached via the regional road Podgorica – Mateševo – Andrijevica, from the pass Trešnjevik (1,573 m above sea level) there is an asphalt road 4 km long to the Eco Katun Štavna.
The trail starts from the last huts on the Štavna katun. The ascent to Vasojevicki Kom, although simple in technical sense, is perhaps a little more demanding in terms of fitness – in less than 3 kilometers it is necessary to climb 700m of altitude difference.
